Description

The CORTEX Standard sanding belt is designed for belt sanders and for working larger surface areas, levelling wood or metal and removing machining irregularities. The abrasive runs continuously over the workpiece, making the belt useful for stock removal and surface levelling. P24–P100 belts are generally used for more intensive sanding and levelling, while P120–P180 belts are used for finer sanding and preparing a surface for finishing. The CORTEX sanding belt range extends up to P180 grit.

Use

Choose the belt length and width specified for the belt sander, fit it according to the tool instructions and check that it tracks correctly. Move the sander evenly, avoid excessive pressure and do not leave it running in one spot. Disconnect the tool from its power source before changing the belt.
