Description

CORTEX sanding mesh is intended for sanding filled walls and ceilings, joint-compound areas and other mineral surfaces before painting or finishing. The abrasive is carried on an open mesh backing, allowing dust to pass through the structure and helping reduce clogging compared with a closed abrasive sheet. Use it by hand with a sanding block; hook-and-loop versions attach to the corresponding hook-and-loop backing pad.

Use

Secure the mesh to a hand sanding block or the appropriate hook-and-loop backing pad. Sand with even strokes, paying particular attention to filler transitions and surface irregularities. Inspect the mesh during use and replace it when the abrasive wears or the openings become clogged with removed material.
